SCAYD (Sonoma County Adult & Youth Development) was founded in 1982 by a group of concerned citizens who wanted to make sure that support services for children, teens, and families would be accessible and available in the communities of Rohnert Park and Cotati. Built on strong partnerships with both cities, the Cotati-Rohnert Park Unified School District and the Sonoma County Health and Human Services Departments, SCAYD has become The Family Resource Center for our community.
Our mission is to help all people in need within the community reach their highest potential for self-sufficiency and well-being. SCAYD offers support services to families who are struggling with any of numerous socio-economic and/or mental health problems. Services include Counseling, Family Advocacy Services, Substance Abuse Prevention Services, Parent Education and support groups, Anger Management workshops, Latino Outreach Services, Youth Education & Employment Services, Emergency Rental Assistance, as well as other support services information and referral to other appropriate agencies.
We value our connection to the community we service and as The Family Resource Center of Rohnert Park & Cotati, SCAYD is one of the primary hubs of the interdependent continuum of services. All services are provided to those most in need, and no one is ever turned away for lack of funds.
